Week 18 (27/1/25) - (31/1/25)

On Monday i couldn't do much in Lareen's lesson because i had forgotten to bring my tassels which meant i couldn't sew my bodice together. Instead, i worked on book for for Lareen and ironing my bias binding. This relieved some stress from me because i have been worrying about my book work. I feel like i need to catch up a bit with it.

In my study period, i continued to work on book work for lareen, getting to an okay point but i still think i could have done more.

In photography we were taking pictures using the idea of being something you're not. For this i was a bit nervous but i went with wearing a skirt. I did consider dressing even more girlie because that is not what i am but i got nervous in front of people dressing like that so i decided to be really simple. I think some of the photos are okay but i only actually like a couple of them because of one thing or another. It was fun to do and i think some of the outcomes are cool.

At home, i was able to get on with my bodice getting it almost done, finishing off the night with one armhole. I feel like i should be done with my bodice by now and i'm getting a bit stressed about whether i will finish on time or not but i only have my bias binding left to sew so hopefully i will finish it on Wednesday.

In stretch, i started off on experiments to get ready to begin on creating ideas for my garment that i will make for this project. I didn't bring many materials with me so i couldn't do a lot but i focused on how  i could use the things that i had with me.

Tuesday was the day i finally started painting my design for Sam onto my pattern pieces. This took me all lesson but i think my pace was very good since i managed to do 3 of the 5 pattern pieces that i needed to paint on. I also managed to keep my painting clean but not smooth so i was able to achieve the effect i wanted to have that was similar to the original painting that is inspiring me.

On Wednesday morning, i was able to complete most of my bodice and i not only have to doo one armhole to be able to say i have completed it. I am happy with this outcome because i was very nervous i wouldn't be able to complete it on time. Though i can't rest yet because i still have quite a bit of book work to sort through, organise and finish. Hopefully i will be able to complete all the work on time. I will try my hardest to focus and not get distracted.

During tutuorials we went through a couple of questions about my well being and i have decided on doing one thing to keep me on track which is to designate a specific time to have a break every couple of hours.
