Photographing my Colour Project
This was my first day back after half term. Before half term, we as a group decided who would wear what when it came to each individuals garments. One of the things we came to a conclusion on that I think worked out well in the final products of the photoshoot was to wear denim with our tops. I think this worked well with what we were trying to achieve because the blue denim stood out against the background and was subtle enough to allow the garment designs to shine.
When it came to poses I can talk about my individual experience since I modelled for my own garments and another students with the other student being my photographer. While working together to finish our shoots, I believe we effectively communicated between each other to achieve good compositions both individually and including the shapes from the other photoshoots in this colour project. I think I was able to pose well enough to give intrigue for a viewer while showcasing different angles of the garments. I asked my partner that I worked with to help me when I faced away while holding the shapes behind me so that we could get the most effective placement in each picture.
One thing I will admit is that before this shoot I hadn’t looked at inspiration for poses so I feel as though I have repeated poses more than I should have and I think I could have come up with more creative poses that showed of the garments better. In the future I will look on places like Pinterest when I am set to model a garment.
